EFVM2022
European Forum on Visceral Myopathy 2022
27-29 April 2022

ABOUT THE EVENT

EFVM2022 is the 1st International meeting dedicated to Visceral Myopathy (VSCM), a myogenic form of chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction, a rare severe genetic disease showing variable neonatal dysfunction in bladder and gut motility.

VSCM is largely unknown due to difficulties in diagnosis, and is still lacking pharmacological effective treatments.

An international and multidisciplinary taskforce between clinicians, researchers and Patient Advocacy Organizations representatives is necessary to address major VSCM issues: EFVM2022 wants to represent an opportunity to concentrate the scientific community efforts on the VSCM unmet needs, focusing on state of the art, emerging approaches and futuristic visions related to this pathology.

EFVM was funded by the European Joint Programme – Rare Diseases (Round 3) and by POIC e dintorni PAO.
